ALI EVANSON
Ali is a graduate of The Karen Pryor Academy, earning her title as a Karen Pryor Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP). She is a certified dog behavior consultant (CDBC) and a certified family dog mediator (FDM). Ali continues her education and professional growth by attending several seminars and taking courses each year. Her training passions include trick training, reactivity, and cooperative care skills. When not caring for clients, Ali enjoys time with her own companions - especially being in the water with her pups! She grew up riding horses and working with the family dogs when her parents would let her. She also had cats, rabbits, bearded dragons, mice, hamsters, and a ferret growing up - whatever her parents told her she couldn’t bring in the house, she did! Now her menagerie is a bit smaller with four dogs and a feral toddler. Ali has 3 Pitties (Sasha, Hunk and Chunk), a Malinois (Nightmare), and her long-term deaf foster Pittie (JellyBean). All of which have been and continue to be an integral part of Ali’s ability to help others on their learning journey. Ali also finds time to volunteer with different organizations. She is on the interaction team, aids in training, and fosters for Chi-Town Pitties. Most recently she began the role of conference coordinator for The IAABC Foundation. |
LAURA KELLY
Laura left her long-time corporate career to pursue her not-so-secret passion of dog training. She’s a Victoria Stilwell Academy-Certified Dog Trainer (VSA-CDT) and a Fear Free Certified Professional (FFCP). Laura loves reactivity training because her own dog, Annie, became reactive after being attacked by an unleashed dog. She’s an avid fan of Control Unleashed pattern games for fearful and reactive dogs and is studying to become the newest Certified Behavior Adjustment Training Instructor (CBATI) in Illinois. Laura assists in the center and helps with our group classes. Laura wasn’t allowed to have pets growing up but always vowed to get a dog someday. True to her word, she adopted a rescue dog, then another and another! She volunteers with a rescue in her spare time. Her current dog, Annie, is 13 and loves to go on adventure walks. |
JESSIE KASPER
Jessie is our Office Coordinator and assists with training at the center. She is an Accredited Dog Trainer (IAABC-ADT), Family Dog Mediator (FDM), Fear Free Certified Professional (FFCP), and is currently mentoring to become a certified dog behavior consultant (CDBC). She is a long-time administrative professional who fell in love with positive reinforcement training during her time with Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus. Jessie sat on the Board of Directors for several years and has a passion for power breeds and responsible, realistic goals for the breed in front of you. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, curling up on her hammock, and spending time with her daughter, husband, two dogs, and two cats. Jessie grew up around Dobermans and has fostered 100+ dogs during her time in rescue. |
